In this blog I’m going to be looking at why we obsessed with being online, fixed to Facebook, tied up with Twitter and can’t get enough of Instagram…
I want to find out what it is that makes us addicted to social media, if we really are addicted? Is it the fear of missing out – ‘FOMO’, the want to catch up with the latest, the need to know what people are up to e.g. celebs, easy access via smartphones or has it just become a habit?
I will also be looking at the the affects of being stuck to the screen, exploring everything from lack of sleep, to negative views of appearance, internet stalking and being absorbed in an internet world…
