These are shocking statistics regarding plastic surgery from 2015! Surgery is evermore becoming the ‘norm’.
The number of people having body and face alterations is scary thought! It brings into question why someone would feel the need to change their appearance so much.
After evaluating these statistics against research into the influences social media has, it is clear to see that there is a correlation. The more social media sites we use, the more aware we are of our appearance. As the popularity of social media sites continues to grow and increase, so does the popularity of plastic surgery procedures. A very scary thought indeed for the future and the ‘social media generation’.
