Hi there!
Welcome to my corner of the internet.
I thought it would be appropriate to have a little introduction to myself and this blog before we get into the swing of things. As a little introduction to myself, I’m currently a second year student at Bournemouth University studying Communications and Media. I originate from Maidenhead, Berkshire, and decided to make the move to the coast to start life at university. Since joining university, I have been a member of the Performing Arts Society, taking part in numerous performances. I have also written a number of articles for Nerve Media, the university’s online magazine.
The focus of this blog will be on the way that social media pressures users to live the ‘perfect life’. Social media is such an integral part of today’s society, especially with the younger generations. Millions of people are sending snapchats, tweeting and uploading Instagrams everyday, and through this blog I will be trying to make sense of the pressure that this puts on different aspects of our daily lives.
Please feel welcome to leave comments of content you want me to write about, or to discuss any points I raise in my posts. Also spread the word if you think I’m worthy of such publicity. You can find links to the Twitter and Facebook accounts for this blog to the right of the page and at the top of the page, by clicking on the icons.
I hope to see you back again soon!

Andrew
