Hi all!
Today brings a very exciting post. Due to it being Christmas Eve, I thought I’d give my readers an early present. A few weeks ago I interviewed Emma Lawford, a final year Journalism student at Bournemouth University, regarding the ways social media affects body image and self-esteem. As her final year project, The Beauty of Imperfection, is about body positivity, Emma was the perfect candidate to interview, and she certainly had a lot to say!
I first contacted Emma when I read her project, The Beauty of Imperfection. A couple of things were clear to me when I started reading and watching her project. Firstly, she’s a brilliant writer and presenter, so I knew she would be a perfect interview candidate. Secondly, the way she approached what is quite a delicate subject was extremely sensitive. She shared stories of real people in an honest but dignified manner. I have no doubt that her project will help and inspire people from all walks of life!
Watch the video to see the full interview and don’t forget to leave any feedback and ideas you have in the comments below, as well as following Emma’s project on social media.
Have a merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year!
Andrew
