So bit about me. I’m 19 and currently in my second year studying Communication and Media at Bournemouth University.
I’ve started this blog to discuss the ever-growing usage of social media and the extent to which it has becoming part of everyday life. Thanks to technological advances, we’re all constantly connected to the digital world. We have endless access to everything on-demand, but how much has this affected real-life situations?
Today, we use our phones for everything from dating, to shopping, and simply just chatting to friends. A big part of the internet and smartphones, is social media. Millions have access to more than one social networking site and spends endless hours a day scrolling for updates. Its a growing concern that our ability to interact in the real world is diminishing as a result of our dependence on social media.
In this blog, I discuss and debate several aspects of what is considered normality and how they have been affected as a result of social media. Follow my twitter and Facebook accounts to stay updated.
