Here I have provided you with 10 ways to becoming the ultimate travel blogger/vlogger.
1.Equipment
In order to start capturing and documenting the adventures that you’re sure to experience on your travels, be sure to know what equipment you need in order to capture these. This equipment, although coming at a high price is often of a very high standard and needs to be in order to hook your audience in and give them the opportunity to experience what you’ve captured as if it’s on a first hand basis. The most popular equipment often comes in the form of professional cameras, video cameras such a GoPros and the new favourite the Drone, which by EU regulations can be flown up to 500 metres in the air to take images, although they have the capacity to fly up to around 11,000 feet.
2. The ability to edit content
Especially when you’re on the go, it’s very hard to travel light when you’re a travel blogger/blogger, with your multitude of memory cards, hard drives, tripods, charger cables and of course the device you need to actually edit and post your content on which mill most importantly be your laptop. When your backpacking and moving destination rather frequently, you need to make sure you have all your tech organised and that you have a the professional editing software downloaded and available to you in order to keep your content looking professional. The most important thing you need? Of course, a Wi-Fi connection. Chances are you’ll be travelling to some very remote areas of the planet so you will need to ensure you will have access to this in order to keep your audience updated.
3. Have a list of places you would like to visit
If you want to be a travel vlogger/blogger first things first, you need to have a keen interest in travel and you need to want to visit many different areas of the world. It’s no good starting up as a travel blogger but only visiting the same country over and over again. You need to want to experience different cultures and different ways of life to that of your own.
4. Use Social Media
when it comes to attracting an audience and promoting your content, social media will be your best friend. On social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook, you can track you analytics and see when your online traffic is coming from and what they are attracted to. It’s the perfect way to communicate with your audience and get tips and hints of what they want and expect from you in order for you to produce even better content and provide them with a better viewing experience. You can also us social media to connect with other travel vloggers/bloggers who do the same thing as you and is a great way to make friends and get inspiration from others.
5. Make content fun and interesting while also being informative
Sure, your audience are going to want to see you having an amazing time and getting involved with fun and interesting activities, but they will also want to be provided with travel tips and tricks to enable them to possibly replicate the trip themselves and have all the same experiences. They’ll want to know about what to pack, where to go, and how much to spend, so don’t be scared to reveal all the more serious and boring details about your trip.
