An Introduction
Namasté, everyone!
Welcome to my first ever blog. Let me introduce myself. My name is Marnie. 20 years of age and born on the 14th September. I was born and raised in a small town called ‘Ipswich’, and am currently living here in Bournemouth for a reason. For many reasons, but that mainly being to study ‘Communication and Media’ in University. I am also full Filipino. My dad is from Bicol and my Mum is from Davao, with Ilocano blood. I can speak fluent Tagalog and understand both Bisaya and Rinconada Bikol Language, and only speak a little.
“Namasté” originates back to when I had Twitter all throughout high school and that was my Twitter display name. As a result, people had called me “Namasté” ever since. “Namasté” came from Tumblr, as my Tumblr theme was all to do with “paradise” and therefore until now, I’ve still been interested in the whole idea of culture and traveling.
Not only am I interested in culture and traveling, but I am also interested in women and society in different cultures. I feel that as a woman myself, there are many issues that we face, most especially in the era we are living in now, that I feel some people can definitely relate to, which I would like to discuss in my upcoming blogs posts.
So, ladies and gentlemen, here I present to you, my first professional blog.
