Social networking sites can sometimes give you the most amazing sense\u00a0of belonging. Like this week for instance, I wasn’t able to attend one of the Women’s marches and yet Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat etc made me felt like I was right there. I watched thousands of women march all over the world for equality, right in my room on my laptop. And whilst it would have been amazing to be there, to be able to watch so many different marches, seeing all of the amazing posters and signs made me feel\u00a0like I was there, in every single country.<\/p>\n

You’d have to be living under a rock to not see or hear about the Women’s march 2017. I’ve never seen such a beautiful march full of such diversity. But why was there a march in the first place?\u00a0Over 100 years since the Suffragette movement and women are still fighting for equal rights. Why?<\/p>\n

”I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different than my own- Audre Lorde”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s clear to everyone now (well I hope) that women should have never been denied the chance to vote as men were allowed, so why are women still<\/strong> having to fight for equal rights all around the world now? Have we learnt nothing in the last 100 years?!<\/p>\n

Women are still here… still fighting<\/h2>\n

But part of me wants to thank Donald Trump for all his sexist, racist and just pure\u00a0VILE\u00a0comments purely for the reason\u00a0that it brought all these countries together. All these different cultures all marched for the same thing. Social media broke down because of how many people were walking or showing support online. It was like for a few hours, there was nothing bad was in the world and yet we were fighting for all the bad to come and all that has past and present.<\/p>\n
