I&#8217;ve lived in West London all my life with my\u00a0family and\u00a0moved to beachy Bournemouth to start university.\u00a0It&#8217;s been a big change going from bustling\u00a0city life and being\u00a0extremely family orientated\u00a0to a small seaside town knowing no one. It&#8217;s been an easy change since making some of the best friends\u00a0I could ask for and enjoying my course as much as I do.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m currently in my second year of university and starting my first ever blog. This blog is going to be focused on the pressure from society of conforming to gender expectations.\u00a0I&#8217;ll be addressing issues that stem from feeling\u00a0this.\u00a0Issues such as\u00a0cyber bullying, cosmetic surgery, catfishing,\u00a0&#8216;quick (but\u00a0dangerous) fixes&#8217; and the list continues. Hopefully the blog will raise awareness about the severe impacts this can have on people. I feel like as a woman myself I can talk from experience about how we feel the pressure to look and act the way society deems acceptable.<\/p>\n<p>Please feel free to leave comments or suggestions of any\u00a0issues you&#8217;d like me to discuss in upcoming posts.
