Beyond Vegan is a blog dedicated to exploring the impact of the internet on awareness of animal welfare issues.
Although changing your diet to account for the welfare of animals has become somewhat trendy due to social media coverage, there is also much more to animal cruelty than just the food industry.
I believe that while in recent years online presence of animal welfare groups has led to increased awareness of different kinds of animal cruelty, that the internet is still contributing to the problem, from celebrities endorsing non cruelty free products, to the internet being a platform for the sale and purchase of exotic pets.
With this blog i hope to raise awareness of how the internet can have both a positive and negative effect on the progress of animal welfare.
