Online reports lead to many believing that the apocalypse will happen this year. Brace yourselves for October.<\/p><\/div>\n

In October 2017, the Earth will be destroyed by the planet Nibiru. Only NASA have said this is a complete fabrication, that Nibiru is false and that this is merely an internet hoax.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Story<\/strong><\/p>\n

Author and alleged researcher David Meade claims that there is evidence to suggest that Earth will be destroyed by the rogue planet Nibiru. It is a planet, often referred to as Planet X, lays on the outer edge of our solar system. Furthermore, the rich elite are aware of this threat and are secretly building underground bunkers to save themselves. This planet was predicted to destroy the Earth in 2003, 2012 and 2015 with scientists hypothesising the existence of Nibiru since the 19th century.<\/p>\n

Why It’s A Hoax<\/strong><\/p>\n

First of all, there seems to be an ‘inevitable’ apocalyptic event predicted every year and we are still here. Perhaps the most speculated in recent times was in 2012 with a Mayan prophecy predicting the apocalypse. Obviously, it never came to fruition.<\/p>\n

Also, if this was going to happen why would the elite feel it necessary to build an underground bunker when the whole world will be destroyed. It seems rather counter intuitive.<\/p>\n

NASA debunked these claims back in 2012 but these have largely been ignored.<\/p><\/div>\n

NASA<\/a> have also\u00a0said previously that the concept of Nibiru is merely an internet hoax. If a planet of Nibiru’s alleged size was on a collision course with Earth, astronomers would have been monitoring this for years. Also, we’d be able to see it from Earth but, we can’t.<\/p>\n

Effects?<\/strong><\/p>\n

So the effects of this ‘hoax’ probably won’t be drastic. However, genuine news outlets such as The Sun, Metro and The Washington Post have published this hoax as a genuine newsworthy story. This will inevitably lead some people to believe that it will happen, which may have a negative impact on the way they live their lives this year.
