Hello lovely people!

I am Katrin and I am very inspired. Just so that you know ;). Besides that, I am a second year Communication and Media student at Bournemouth University whose time to become ‘just another blogger’ has come. Yet, I don’t see this blog as a ‘just another blog’ because I strongly believe that the ideas that I am going to share here with you, are ideas worth sharing.

The idea for this blog came only few weeks ago when I accidentally attended a talk at uni that ended up being one of the most brilliant things that have happened to me so far during my time at BU. On the 16th of November 2016 the amazing behavioral designer, public speaker, author, and founder of NEXUS , Pete Trainor, left tears of joy in my eyes. Literally! Tears of joy because, as clichéd as it may sound, Pete gave me hope; hope that digital is not only about storing our data, invading our privacy, bombarding us with adverts and so on, but there is something more. As long as you want to make something more out of it. And luckily, there are amazing people out there who actually do.

Digital design and communications have the power to change people’s lives. Yes, you heard me right! Here we are talking about real people. Individuals. Human. Genuinely putting people’s needs at the center of  everything is just SO BEAUTIFUL. I don’t know how else to describe it. And because I don’t want to reveal everything in my About page I’ll stop here and let you read my blog in peace.
