Hello! Welcome to Give Me Vitamin D.
I have made this blog as a way of hopefully spreading awareness and motivation across all of you internet users in how to keep safe and happy on the internet. I hope to encourage that you not only use the internet safely and wisely, but that you always go outside and get the most out of what the world has to offer (hence the vitamin D) instead of being stuck inside on technology all day.
Why is this important?
People in Britain spend an average of 27 hours a week on the internet. Think of all of the other things you could achieve in those 27 hours!
I am not unaware that the internet is an incredible piece of technology and can be good for many things such as:
- Keeping up with friends on social media
- Shopping online
- Reading the news
- Finding out random stuff (Hellloooo random google searches)
And now we can get on the web on our phones, tablets, laptops and computers : there is literally no escape!
But can you ever have too much of a good thing?
Ever realised that you haven’t moved for a whole afternoon when you have just been flicking through various different sites?
Ever seen pictures and videos which have made you feel like your missing out and your life isn’t good enough?
Have you ever had someone write a horrible comment or post which you are sure they wouldn’t have said in person?
Do you ever find yourself finding it hard to concentrate with a short attention span?
The internet can be a dangerous place and right now, our society is using it more than ever
But hopefully, from reading and following this blog, you’ll have a bit more of an idea on how to surf safely and you’ll also be motivated to go outside and get some vitamin D as well.
Any feedback and comments are welcomed and I hope you enjoy my site!
