Hi! Welcome to my blog.

I’m Georgia, 20 years old and was born on 1st November. I’ve lived in West London all my life with my family and moved to beachy Bournemouth to start university. It’s been a big change going from bustling city life and being extremely family orientated to a small seaside town knowing no one. It’s been an easy change since making some of the best friends I could ask for and enjoying my course as much as I do.

I’m currently in my second year of university and starting my first ever blog. This blog is going to be focused on the pressure from society of conforming to gender expectations. I’ll be addressing issues that stem from feeling this. Issues such as cyber bullying, cosmetic surgery, catfishing, ‘quick (but dangerous) fixes’ and the list continues. Hopefully the blog will raise awareness about the severe impacts this can have on people. I feel like as a woman myself I can talk from experience about how we feel the pressure to look and act the way society deems acceptable.
